About Us
Caldwell, Bombard & Soldavini was founded by Brigid Soldavini in 1986. With a laptop and three clients, the firm was started in a home office and offered bookkeeping services.
Within two years the company was steadily growing, pulling in hundreds of corporate accounts. The business grew so fast by offering a variety of services from balancing business bank accounts, to public audits and providing corporate tax returns.
In 1992, Brigid Soldavini became a Certified Public Accountant to offer the firm’s clients complete financial management solutions. The firm continued to grow and moved in to its current location. Caldwell, Bombard & Soldavini has a full-time staff of nine people and over 1,500 clients.
At the end of the day, you need to know that your business’ finances are in order. The partners and staff are dedicated to providing accurate and reliable business and personal services, so that you can relax and focus on building your business.
Cathy Caldwell, CPA
Originally from West Virginia, Cathy earned her Bachelor’s degree in accounting from Fairmont State College. She began her career working as an accounting assistant in the health care industry. After arriving in Naples in 1995, she continued in the health care industry as an Accounting manager at the David Lawrence Center.
Cathy began working with Brigid Soldavini in 1999, becoming a partner in 2006. She earned her Certified Public Accountant designation in January 2008. She is an active member on a local level with the Florida Institute of Certified Public Accountants and on a national level with the America Institute of Certified Public Accounts.
Cathy is also active in the community through local athletic and charitable organizations. For several years, Cathy has served as a team captain for the USTA Tennis League. The USTA is a competitive tennis organization that builds teams throughout the country. She served on the Board of Directors of the Ovarian Cancer Alliance as the Treasurer from 2005-2008.
Cindy Bombard, CPA
Cindy was originally born in Italy, but grew up just outside of Boston, Massachusetts. She earned her Associates degree in accounting from Massasoit Community College. Her career began in retail, but she quickly worked her way up to Assistant Controller of a pharmaceutical company by the young age of 21.
In 1993, after starting a family, Cindy moved to Naples in order to be close to her parents. In Naples, she co-founded Paradise Painting and Decorating with her father. Her role in the company involved managing all of the bookkeeping and estimating, which allowed her to stay home with her daughter during the day and continue her education in the evenings. In 1996, she earned her Bachelor’s degree in accounting from Hodges University.
In 2000, Cindy joined Brigid Soldavini and she became a partner in 2006. She earned her Certified Public Accountant designation in 2009. She is an active member on a local level with the Florida Institute of Certified Public Accountants and on a national level with the America Institute of Certified Public Accounts.
Cindy served as the secretary on the Board of Directors for the Naples Equestrian Challenge for eight years and continues to volunteer for the organization.
Brigid Soldavini-Clapper, CPA
Originally from Bristol Connecticut, Brigid earned her Bachelor’s degree in accounting from Central Connecticut State University in 1982. After graduating, she moved down to Naples to start her family and her career.
In February 1986, Brigid was the founding partner in Caldwell, Bombard & Soldavini. Her initial goal was to be able to work from home with her two sons. However, the business rapidly grew to offer bookkeeping and tax preparation for several hundred businesses in Collier County. In 1992, Brigid earned her Certified Public Accountant designation and expand her services and client base.
Brigid has always been fond of non-profit organizations. She served as the Chief Financial Officer of the Naples Equestrian Challenge for eight years and is currently the President of the Board of directors.
Locally, Brigid has been honored as the 2006 Business Woman of the Year by the National Republican Congressional Committee; the 2006 National Leadership Award from the National Republican Congressional Committee; and the 2007 Woman of Excellence from National Association of Professional and Executive Women. She was also voted Gulfshore’s “Best in Client Satisfaction” in 2007 from Gulfshore Business Magazine.
